The best hiking areas around the Zugspitze

HIKE

The Tiroler Zugspitz Arena region offers a huge hiking area with all levels of difficulty and opportunities. You can start directly from the hotel or “Auffi auf n Berg” with the Marienbergbahn cable car directly from the front door. Of course, the numerous huts also provide a “smart snack”. More than 30 rustic Tyrolean alpine huts that invite you to linger and rest can be found on the hiking trails.

Did you know, for example, that in addition to the ascent to the Zugspitze also two well-known long-distance hiking trails lead directly through our beautiful Zugspitze area?

With the Adlerweg and the Via Alpina, two of the most beautiful routes pass through our Tyrolean Zugspitz Arena.

The hiking routes with a view of the picture-perfect mountain scenery are just as suitable for beginners and connoisseurs as they are for the experienced and fit mountain enthusiast.

  • To get started, we recommend a hike to the Loisach springs or to our Sunnalm on the Marienberg.
  • If you want to combine your mountain tour with a journey into the past, the Silberleithe montan hiking trail up to an altitude of 1,631 m is ideal, because this is where you arrive historical mine tunnel past.
  • For advanced skiers, it can also be the tour over the Wannig to the Coburger Hütte or climbing the nearby Zugspitze.

As Insider tip we recommend the route to the Nassereither Alm or to the 2,250 m high Bergleskopf and on the Roman way back.
