Pure cross-country skiing pleasure

Your winter sports paradise for cross-country skiing

Over 131 kilometers of trails await you

Silence surrounds you as your skis carry you gently through the groomed trail and the light wind blows in your face.

Cross-country skiing in Tyrol is one of the most relaxed winter sports. Sure, there are also challenging routes in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena, but if you prefer a more leisurely pace, you’ve come to the right place. With a picturesque panorama of the Tyrolean Zugspitze and the extensive valley between the villages of Lermoos, Ehrwald and Biberwier, cross-country skiing and skating are fun in any weather.

Both variants are excellent endurance sports that will challenge your body, but can also include enough quiet passages. The different trails in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena are prepared for all levels of difficulty. Professionals as well as beginners and hobby skiers will get their money’s worth.

Away from the slopes at Hotel MyTirol, 131 km of perfectly groomed cross-country trails await you. Whether classic cross-country skiing or the skating variant. If you want to put your skills to the test, you can do so in the laser biathlon.

You can find the latest trail information at the Zugspitz Arena:

Limitless possibilities in the winter region of Tyrol

Directly from the hotel to the trail

The MyTirol in Biberwier is located directly on the cross-country ski trail and leads you into the village in a relaxed manner or you can start directly with a slight incline along the Fernpass. After your tour, you can leave your skis in the ski room and warm up in the sauna. We also recommend the anteroom of your room for your sportswear. Everything can dry here overnight and you don’t have to leave anything in your room.

The most popular trails of our guests

Quite a few of our guests appreciate the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena for its fantastically groomed trails and visit us year after year for cross-country skiing and skating. We can well understand this, because in addition to the beautiful scenery, our region offers countless possibilities and snow is always guaranteed. Discover our guests’ favorite trails for yourself.

Insider tip for cross-country skiing with guaranteed snow: the snow-covered golf circuit in Ehrwald is a perfect destination for cross-country skiers. The starting point is the Golfino, where there is a restaurant and parking facilities. Even on warmer winter days, the 2.7-kilometre trail remains perfectly groomed. The sunny location and the breathtaking view of the Zugspitze make it a special experience for sports enthusiasts.

Route for endurance fans: At around 40 kilometers in length, the Arena trail is the longest cross-country ski trail in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. It connects several villages and is ideal for beginners and pleasure skiers thanks to its easy to moderately difficult sections.

High up for guaranteed snow: part of the cross-country ski trail network leads to high altitudes where snow is guaranteed. Here you not only enjoy the best conditions, but also a unique view of the majestic peaks of the surrounding mountains – a sight to remember!
